Cross Cultural Medicine on Hispaniola is a non-profit corporation registered in Alabama. Our mission is improving the health of the impoverished, immigrant, and incarcerated people of Hispaniola. We have operated in the bateyes, barrios, jails, and prisons of the eastern Dominican Republic for over 30 years. Our physican-led teams pay their own airfare, room, board, and in-country travel costs. Donations go mainly towards prescription and over-the-counter medications, medical supplies, and hygiene items.
